MediBIC Life Sciences is a wholly owned subsidiary of The MediBIC Group a publicly traded Japanese corporation that has pioneered the introduction of pharmacogenomics technologies into Japan. MediBIC specializes in consulting in the areas of pharmacogenomics, trial design, bioinformatics, and R&D planning and also distributes drug discovery tools and services to the Japanese pharmaceutical industry.

Today, MediBIC helps over 20 Japanese Pharma with various aspects of their drug discovery through its drug development consulting unit and its clinical trial design and management unit.  Most of our senior or technical team members in Japan previously held key positions at Japanese large pharma companies.  We have also played an important role in introducing regulatory laws into pharmacogenomics analysis in Japan. In the past, we put together a pharma, academia and government consortium that came up with the regulatory guidelines for SOP’s in pharmacogenomics analysis for Japan. 

Our name, "MediBIC," stands for "Medical Bioinformatics Company," relating to the original focus of our parent company when it was formed in 2000.  We have expanded well beyond that scope today.
